"I'm back from the living dead doing landscapes again. This painting was done using a subtractive technique of taking away paint, while the other landscapes before was an additive technique. I like how atmosphere is portrayed here."

"Lately the Atlanta area has had some strong weather roll through. Amazingly, the clouds at night have been moving fast over a bright moon, tonight was no exception. Winds feels like 30-40 mph at 45 degrees."

"I painted this on the last hour of daylight. This rainy day on this flooded creek allowed Georgia to escape from making this the driest year in its history. "

"Beautiful crisp day, went to sleep on this hill until I was awoken by sandhill cranes being chased by black vultures. Enjoyed the chaos of trees while painting with my glasses off. People fought and died on this hill in 1864. Hard to imagine now."

"Had a technical bike ride to find this area. Damp and cold has been the theme when I get out lately. I love all the challenges it takes to create these pieces. What made this unique was a big'ol sloppy wet retriever ran up to me, stepped on the piece and slimed me with his tongue. Smeared it perfectly."
